| The son of another former Giants pick, Culberson was the last of three supplemental first rounders in 2007. He moved up the boards with a strong senior year for frequent power Calhoun (GA) High School, where he teamed with fellow first-rounder Josh Smoker to lead his club to the state championship.
In his professional debut, he moved Nick Noonan to second base and put up a solid .286/.374/.416 line while showing his immense baseball IQ in the field and on the basepaths where he converted 19 of 20 stolen base attempts. |
