Biography:
Considered one of the top senior-to-be baseball players in the state of Mississippi, Wendell is currently receiving letters from Mississippi State, Ole Miss, LSU, South Carolina, Southern Miss and Auburn. Although he plans on playing baseball on the next level, he is receiving recruiting letters for football from LSU, Ole Miss, Southern Miss, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, South Carolina and Florida State.

2006 - High School Baseball:
Earned All-State honors after hitting .451 with 6 home runs, 6 triples and 51 RBI.

2005 - High School Baseball:
As a sophomore, he hit .404 with 8 doubles, 7 triples, 7 home runs while knocking in 40 runs. A speedster on the basepaths, he stole 12 bases in 13 attempts. He has a plus arm, throwing the ball in the 88 to 91 miles per hour range. On the mound, he was 1-1 with 3 saves and an ERA of 0.39. He struck out 14 in 18 innings. Teams hit .200 against him.
