Pirates Prospect Interview: Andrew Lambo

Andrew Lambo

Andrew Lambo was named the Pirates minor league Player-of-the-Year. Lambo hit a combined .282 with 24 doubles, five triples, 32 home runs, 99 RBI in 120 games between Double-A Altoona and Triple-A Indianapolis. Lambo is playing winter ball in Venezuela and focusing on playing first base. PiratesDugout.com's George Von Benko spoke with Lambo.

GVB – Andrew you had to be thrilled to be named Pirates minor league Player-of-the-Year? AL – Absolutely, it's a great honor being a player-of-the-Year in an organization like this is something that I'm really proud of. We've got a lot of talent in this organization, here in Pittsburgh and coming up, so it's a pretty big honor. This is an organization that's doing a lot of good things right now...
