Game Notes:
The Grizzlies have lost their fifth consecutive game. Edmonton Trapper's starting pitcher, Blake Stein recorded a complete game, allowing only one run, six hits, striking out four and walking one. Francisco Santos got the only RBI of the game. In the first inning, with two out, Santos hit a bloop single into left-center field bringing in Todd Linden from second.

Team Notes:
Right-handed pitcher Kevin Correia, who was just promoted from Norwich a couple days ago, was called up by the San Francisco Giants yesterday. Jesse Foppert was optioned back to Fresno. The Giants have signed two major-league pitchers, Jimmy Anderson and Dustin Hermansen. They've been assigned to Triple-A Fresno and will join the Grizzlies in Edmonton. Hermansen spent most of his 5-year major league career with the Montreal Expost. The 31-year-old was released by the St. Louis Cardinals after he posted a 5.46 ERA in 23 appearances out of the bullpen this season. Anderson, 27, was 17-30 with an ERA sitting just over 5.00 with the Pittsburgh Pirates. this season he was 1-5 marking a 8.84 ERA with the Cincinatti Reds. He became a free agent after refusing to go to Triple-A Lousiville.

Game Notes:
With the game tied at 2 in the 10th inning. Daniel Ortmeire hit a two-out double down the left field line. Tyler Von Schell smacked a single to right. Ortemeir raced home, diving around Visalia catcher's, Dan Conway, tag for the winning run. Jeff Clark and Chris Begg were able to hold the Oaks to one run on give hit through eight innings.
