Game Notes:
The Grizzlies came frombehind twice from two five-run deficits. Keitn Anderson, who came into the game as a pinch-hitter hit his first homerun (a two-run jack in the seventh) in Triple-A. In this series against the Las Vagas 51's, Lance Nierko was 12-for-19. He hit three run scoring singles and went 4-5 in the game. Jeff Urban, who hadn't allowed a homer since May 26, got rocked as the 51's hit three consecutive roundtrippers. The Grizzlies have been hot recently, with 100 hits in their past eight games before Thursday. In the last four games, they've totaled 60 hits.

Game Notes:
Outfielder Adam Shabala left the game in the fifth after injuring his left wrist on a swing. Mike Cervenak snapped his 13-game hitting streak going 0-4 in the game, yet Alejandro Freire continues his hitting streak to 10 games and Ramon Soler extends his streak to eight games. Jay Pecci is scheduled to join the Navigators as they are currently one position player short. Pecci played for Double-A San Antonio, batting .300 in ten games. Alejandro Freire, Mike Cervenak, Kevin Vent, and Kevin Correia have been selected to play in the Eastern League All-Star Game on July 16 in New Britain.

David Aardsma made his debut in the eighth. He kept the JetHawks off the bored, giving up only one hit, walking one, and striking out two. The San Jose Giants completed a three game sweep of the Lancaster JetHawks.

Matt Cain has been put on the disabled list. Cain was 4-4 on the season, marking a 2.55 ERA with 90 strikeouts in 74 innings. Southpaw, Josh Hable will take Cain's pot in the rotation. Hable is 1-2 with a 2.55 ERA as well. Right-handed pitcher Billy Sadler, sixth-round pick of the Giants, and infielder Jay Knowlton will be joining the Hagerstown Suns.
