ARIZONA FALL LEAGUE
The AFL took the day off on Sunday, nothing to report.
DOMINICAN WINTER LEAGUE
Brandon Belt extended his hit streak to eight games on Sunday, going 1-for-3 with an RBI for the Leones del Escogido. During the streak, Belt is hitting .357 (10-for-28) with two doubles and a homer.
Francisco Peguero hit ninth, playing center field for the Gigantes de Cibao Sunday. Peguero went 0-for-3 with a run and a strikeout and is now hitting just .241 (14-for-58) in 17 games.
MEXICAN PACIFIC LEAGUE
Tyler Graham, who has been struggling of late, went 1-for-3 with a run on Sunday. Tomateros manager Alfonso Jimenez, clearly not having much faith in Graham, pulled him for a pinch hitter with the bases loaded and two out in the bottom of the eighth. With the Tomateros trailing by two, Jesus Cota -- a 30-year-old Mexican Leaguer that was Graham's replacement -- promptly hit a grand slam. The Tomateros went on to win 7-5.
Justin Christian went 1-for-3 with a run and a walk, raising his season average a bit to .294 (15-for-51) in 12 games for the Caneros de Los Mochis.
VENEZUELAN WINTER LEAGUE
Hector Sanchez saw his 11-game hit streak come to an end on Sunday, as the soon-to-be 22-year-old went 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout. Hector's average fell to .388 (26-for-67).
Jose Flores went 0-for-3 Sunday for the Aguilas de Zulia, dropping his average to .273 (9-for-33) in 10 appearances.
Jean Machi recorded his fifth save Sunday for the Navegantes del Magallanes, retiring the final two batters and dropping his ERA to 2.08.
AUSTRALIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE
Alex Burg slugged his fourth home run in just his seventh game -- the first of a double-header for the Perth Heat. The two-run shot was Burg's only hit of the day though, as he went 1-for-8 combined, dropping his average to .321 (9-for-28).
Cameron Lamb pitched one inning in game two of the Heat's double-header, allowing two hits and a walk -- but miraculously not giving up a run. Lamb struck out the side, and has not allowed a run in three appearances in the ABL.
PUERTO RICAN WINTER LEAGUE
Johnny Monell got the start for the Criollos de Caguas on Sunday. The 25-year-old went 2-for-4 with two doubles, a run and a strikeout. In four appearances, Monell is hitting .455 (5-for-11) while slugging three doubles and a home run.
